About Us

The Approach at the Station is Vancouver’s leading source for locally made Canadian jewelry, gifts, clothing and souvenirs. Three individually themed shops at one location in the historic Waterfront Station create our approach.

The Approach is our Canadiana store with locally designed clothing and accessories, Canadian made slippers and moccasins, manufactured jewelry including Ammolite and Canadian Maple Leaf coin jewelry. Decorative accessories include B.C. Jade carvings, and locally designed hand-painted ceramic cups, serving plates and tea pots, picture frames and Canadian Souvenirs.

The Approach by Hand contains local and Canadian hand crafted products for unique one of a kind gifts. Quality assortments of hand made pottery, glass, leather products, metalwork are some of the components of this section. We also present Vancouver’s best selection of craft jewelry and B.C. wood products.

Legends of the Moon is our First Nations themed shop offering hand made wood carvings and bowls, traditional First Nations designs on clothing, accessories, ties, scarves, glassware, pottery, giftware, and of course our excellent selection of hand-made sterling silver and gold jewelry including rings, earrings, pendants and pins.

Destination Canada Gifts Inc.

Management Group

Destination Canada Gift Inc is managed primarily by the partners.

The Managing Director is Stuart J.A. Colquhoun. Responsibilities include project development, finance and administration.

Buying and Merchandising is the responsibility of Eleanor Der who ensures the quality of our offerings and assortments;

Doris Colquhoun is responsible for the sales management at The Approach and the in-store marketing and signing for both The Approach and Legends of the Moon.

Our Stores are operated by a team of supervisors and lead hands who maintain our sales focus and store operations.
